Whether you are new to clay or have some previous experience, you'll improve your clay skills with art teacher Melanie Pattay. Beginners will start with the basics of throwing cups, bowls, and plates. Experienced potters can expand on their skills with larger pieces, adding handles, lids, and manipulating pieces after throwing. Three sessions focus on throwing, and the final session is reserved for painting watercolor style designs on your maximum of 5 finished pieces. Items will be fired after the final class and available for pickup at the Community Ed office at the Sauk Rapids-Rice Middle School. Pick up date/time will be communicated with participants.
