Classroom Driver’s Education
This course is for students looking to complete the classroom portion of Driver’s Education. This class does not include behind the wheel. Classroom instruction consists of videos, lectures, study guides, presentations, tests, and class discussions.
The state of MN required 30 hours of classroom instruction. Each of the 10 session consists of three hours of classroom instruction. Upon completion of their 30 hours of classroom instruction, students will receive a “Blue Card” which allows them to take a Minnesota permit test.
The student must attend all 10 sessions. Any missed sessions must be made up before a blue card will be issued. The instructor will be available for hire ($25/hr.) after the session concludes.
Students may start driving classes at the age of 14, obtain their permit at age 15 and license at the age of 16.
Steven D. Mick is a licensed driver’s education instructor in the state of Minnesota. He has taught classroom and behind the wheel for the Sartell Driving School and Mora Community Education. Mr. Mick is also an educator in the Sauk Rapids-Rice School District.
