Sauk Rapids-Rice Elementary Storm Robotics provides students in grades 3-5 the opportunity to work collaboratively as a team (Generally in small groups of 3-5 students) to design and manufacture a competition robot to compete in the VEX IQ Challenge "Rapid Relay" competition. (https://www.vexrobotics.com/iq/competition/viqc-current-game). Participants will have the opportunity to expand upon skills in programming and engineering; while working as a team to build a robot to compete in a VEX IQ Competition with an opportunity to qualify for the MN State Tournament! Limited to 30 spots. No discounts. Parents will be expected to join Remind for communication. Remind sign-up details will be given out closer to the start date.

Practices will run Mondays and Thursdays from 5:30-6:45 at the Sauk Rapids-Rice Middle School in Room 469/473.

Please specify T-Shirt Size in registration info. A Storm Robotics Shirt is included in the registration fee for Elementary Storm Robotics. (please specify shirt size when you register for program)

Practices:

Mon/Thu: Oct 21 - Feb 27 (No practice: Oct 31, Nov 4, , Nov 11, Nov 28, Dec 23-Dec 30 (Winter Break), 2/17. *Note- we will still meet on 1/20 (MLK day) even though there is no school.
*Students will be done with practices after the Sauk Rapids Competition if they do not qualify for the State Competition.
